Let me just start by saying that Corinne Michaels knows what she's doing when she sits down to tell a story. And destroy your heart in the process. Because her books are always packed with a punch of feels and this book is not lacking in them. I always know I'm going to be laughing and crying at the same time every time I dig into one of her stories. And this one is no different.

"Milo, has no reason to be nice to me. He's rich, arrogant, egomaniac who has lived a life I can only dream of, but only a fool wouldn't see his motives. He's desperate for his brother's affections. If I Only Knew follows the story of Milo and Danielle. Danielle lives a simple life. One that she's happy with. But it all gets ripped away when she gets news that her husband has been killed and her entire world is flipped upside down. No a widow, with two kids her life is in uproar. But as time goes on, the pain never goes away but everyday gets a little easier. Or so she thinks. That is until Milo Huxley, her boss's brother comes into town and is trying to take her new job. A job she's earned.

Milo is a playboy through and through. He's never really settled down anywhere and always liked it that way. But little does he know that his brother had given it away to a gorgeous brunette. That he soon finds himself mystified with.

Everything about this book had me swooning and drooling all over the pages. Milo is so swoony and he has an accent, is there anything sexier?? This book quickly became one of my favorites of Michaels and I see it staying in that spot for awhile.

This story picks up just before the events in NOT UNTIL YOU, that changed Danielle's family forever. Danielle and her kids have suffered an unimaginable loss. Still grieving and trying to simply make it through each day without crumbling, she isn't looking for a relationship or expecting to find love again. Dating isn't even on her radar. When, Milo, the snarky and sexy brit shows up, he shakes up everything. Milo is out for revenge. Determine to take back what's rightfully his, no matter the cost. He doesn't expect that person to be a woman, let alone one that has so much to lose.

Corinne Michaels is an auto buy author for me. When I saw that her next release was going to be an Audible first exclusive release, I knew I had to read it. As an avid audiobook reader, I have to say I was quite excited to see that we were going to get this book early. The male narrator for this book is Shane East is one of my favorites and I probably would have purchased this book just to have him read it to me! I enjoyed the female narrator as well. I've listened to a few other books that used her, including one from Corinne's Return to Me series. I feel like narrators voices really pulled it all together.

Seeing this their love evolve and both of their walls slowly crumbling own was so heartwarming. I enjoyed watching Milo’s quest for revenge change to a quest to make Danielle happy. Milo is sassy, with a hard exterior but a soft heart. Danielle puts on a good show and has more strength than she knows. The couple in this story are one of my favorites in this world. I found their relationship so natural which I found refreshing. The book was a perfect end to this series of spin off stories. I'm going to miss all these characters now that it's over. I definitely recommend this book! Not an audiobook readers? The book is now available in all formats.
