Anything Colleen Hoover writes, I immediately want my hands on. She's one of those authors where you would literally read anything by her. Her grocery list...yes! She has a way with her words and a talent to tell an incredible story. Colleen is one of the rare authors were I go in blind when I read her books. And Regretting You was no different. I went into this book completely blind and ready for an amazing read.
Though I can admit it wasn't what I thought it was going to be, I have to say it was probably one of my most favorite stories. It pulls you right into the story and leaves you breathless. The struggles in the story and the heart ache, are so real, so raw. With real issues and pain that people probably feel all too often. Regretting You touches on heartfelt moments and heartbreaking disasters.
When a sudden tragedy strikes mother Morgan and her daughter Clara, they are left to pick up the pieces. Holding onto each other is what you would think would happen but that's the furtherest from what happens to this duo. They hurt each other and push at each other. Picking the scab and making each other bleed. Making the pain unbearable for each other.
But Morgan and Clara find comfort in two people they never though they would find solace in. These two go on a journey in Regretting You. One that will have you hanging onto the handle bars the whole time. This story is simply another breathtaking read from Colleen. I adored this story so much and the characters. The character development over the course of the book is beautiful and a book I will never forget.
