THIS! BOOK!
I always pretty much say the same thing about her books and how amazing they are. But after reading the first two in this series, I was dying to get my hands on Mack's book. Each book I got more and more interested in him. And when it finally came time for me to devour...I devoured. I read this book in one day. It's been awhile since I've been so into a book, I couldn't put it down.
But this book! Ugh! It's going to be so hard to put into words because I'm a pile of feels over this one still. I loved each book in the series so much but I think this one was my favorite. Something about the book was so wholesome but heartbreaking.
Mack had his one true love when he was a kid. He was a dragon and she was a little bird. Mack would have done anything to protect her even if it meant protecting her from himself. Now thirteen years later, the last thing he expects to see is Izzy standing right in front of him. And she's as gorgeous as ever. Mack finds himself back to her rescue, though she doesn't need it or want it.
Izzy has never forgiven him for leaving her all those years ago. But being back in town, she can't help but to see him. Or even need him. But secrets are hidden and those secrets could be the one thing to keep them apart. Or bring them back together.
Pieces of Us is such a heartwarming read. That had me crying and leaving my co-blogger in goosebumps. We felt those feels while reading this one. I look forward to reading what's next from this author. She's one of my favorite's y'all!
