I'm always floored every time I read one of Jackson's books. Her writing is so eloquent and written in such a way, that will suck you right in. That's one of my favorite things about her books. I seem to forget the world around me when I read them. And Hold on to Hope was no different. This book is simply stunning.
It follows the story of Evan and Frankie Leigh. These two are childhoods friends. They grew up together and formed a strong bond. Frankie Leigh knew at a young age that Evan was someone special. He wasn't your average little boy. And now years later they find themselves split up and broken with pain.
Evan left Frankie Leigh years ago, leaving her in pain and heartache but now he's returned and her feelings come crashing back. And it's the last thing she wants. Frankie Leigh wants to be mad at him for what he did to her and his family. Leaving without a word but she can't seem to keep her feelings at bay.
This story is beautiful, raw, and so heartbreaking. I couldn't seem to read this book fast enough but I also didn't want it to end. Amy always has an amazing way of writing a romance filled with action and drama, that will have you talking to the characters as if they can hear you. This story instantly became one of my favorites and I look forward to more words from this author.
