Nicholas Hunt is the man I hate.
For good reason.
His opinion of me is tainted by prejudice even before my arrival at his grandmother’s estate, and my first impression of him is just as abysmal.
His arrogance and icy demeanor make it clear that he’s the type of man who’s best handled at a distance.

We hang suspended in our hatred of one another, painfully oblivious to the heat and tension that build with every moment we’re left alone. We’re liable to kill one another, I think…right up until my eyes land on his lips and a new feeling grips hold of me: lust.

Grey is becoming one of my all time favorite rom com authors. Every time I go to sit down and read her books, I know I am in for a book that is going to give me all the good feels. Her books make me laugh till my sides hurt. Rachel writes some of the best romance and I'm obsessed.
And let me tell you... I loved this book! Her writing is such a breath of fresh air and so fun to read. I enjoyed everything about this book.
Maren is such an amazing character. I loved her spunk, even though she hadn't been dealt the best hand at life but that doesn't stop her from trying to live it the best she can. Barley making it and living in a group home. She knows, this is her life and probably how it always will be. But a little like Cinderella, her fairy god mother comes and whisk her away into a life she never thought was possible.
"If you feel apart from the rest of us, Maren, it's not because you can't measure up- it's because you float above us."
A life filled with gowns, fancy shoes, and food she wouldn't have never dreamed of trying. But when a position for a new job falls at her feet after she's accused of stealing from her last...she takes the opportunity. Though she knows it's all a little too good to be true. That is until she meets Nicholas. The devil. He's broody and has an attitude that's meant to bite. And after Maren and Nicky have had a few encounters, she realizes, she wants nothing to do with.
But she finds herself thinking about him. How much he angers her and rises her blood to the level of...boil. Rachel writes my favorite enemies to lovers and she definitely doesn't disappoint with this one. Love the One You Hate is funny, angsty, sweet, and sexy. It's the perfect read and I can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve next.
