All Lined Up: Interview with Carson and Dallas + Giveaway
If you've been under a rock or never been to this blog before, you have no idea how much I'm rooting for this book, and for this author. All Lined Up is the first novel in the Rusk University series by Cora Carmack, and Cora's 4th full length published novel. These are in a new, refreshing genre - New Adult - geared towards women who get tired of the cheesy romances but still love their book boyfriends. My review can be found HERE.
I've been lucky enough to give you a one on one with Dallas and Carson (the two key players in ALL LINED UP), so sit back and get ready to laugh because these two never stop with the shenanigans.
Thanks for joining us
today guys, we are so happy to talk with you before you turn all uber famous
and get too big for us! I know you guys are getting pretty busy, so let's jump
on in!
Q: Let's start with
some basics. Carson, Dallas - if you could use three words to describe each
other's personalities, what would they be?
Dallas: Determined,
thoughtful, funny.
Carson: Feisty,
honest, intelligent.
Q: And now, if you
could use three more words to describe each other's best physical traits, what
would they be?
Dallas: Smile. Arms.
OMGMUSCLES.
Carson: Legs.
Dallas: That's only
one word, honey.
Carson: Really sexy
legs.
Q: Now, answer for
yourselves: Which one of you is the most easy going? How about the most proud
(but I really mean stubborn)?
Carson: I'd say I'm
probably more easy-going, and Dallas is a little more....strong willed.
Dallas: I AM NOT
STUBBORN.
Carson: So there you
go.
Q: Who's got the
cleanest room?
Carson: Definitely
her.
Q: Speaking of dirty
rooms, what's the weirdest thing in your refrigerator right now Carson?
Weirdest thing in your nightstand at the moment, Dallas?
Dallas: He
refrigerates his peanut butter!! Isn't that the weirdest thing you've ever
heard?
Carson: Okay, lots of
people refrigerate peanut butter. It keeps it fresher, longer.
Dallas: And makes it
completely impossible to spread.
Carson: Whatever. I'd
say the weirdest thing in my refrigerator right now is -
Dallas. A body.
Carson: Stop it! The
body is in the freezer. No, I'm totally kidding. It would probably be leftovers
or something.
Dallas: I don't really
keep weird things in my night stand.
Carson: Sure, you
don't.
Dallas: *elbows him*
Q: If you guys could
trade bodies with each other for a day, would you? Why or Why not?
Dallas: This question
feels inherently dirty.
Carson: Hell
yes.
Dallas: *rolls eyes*
And it just got dirtier.
Carson: That sounds
like a challenge, baby.
Dallas: It's really
not.
Carson: Too late. I'm
already creating a list.
Dallas: For an
imaginary body swap that will never happen?
Carson: Ssh! I'm
brainstorming.
Q: What do each of you
consider your greatest achievement to date?
Carson: I'd say
Dallas's greatest achievement has got to be--
Dallas: Hey! No
spoilers.
Carson: Well then...
That time she wanted to do that thing even though her Dad wouldn't approve, but
she did it anyway.
Dallas: You're not
talking about going out with you, are you?
Carson: I wasn't, but
you're right. That's a better answer.
Dallas: *rolls
eyes*
Carson: I know
catching you was definitely my greatest accomplishment.
Dallas: Aw. Well, now
I feel like a jerk for rolling my eyes.
Carson: As you should,
Cole. As you should.
Q: Carson: Boxers or
Briefs? (Sorry Dallas)
Carson: Boxer briefs,
for the best of both worlds.
Q: Favorite thing
about Rusk University?
(Simultaneously)
Carson: Her. Dallas: Him.
Carson: The Team is
pretty great too. And the quesadillas in the dining hall. And the
cookies.
Q: Do you guys ever
google yourselves? What are you surprised to read?
Dallas: Most of the
things that pop up are in connection with my dad and his many coaching
accolades. A couple of youtube videos from dance competitions, all of which are
mortifying.
Carson: How have I not
googled you yet? *pulls out phone*
Dallas: Seriously?
*snatches phone* Next question, please!
Q: Do either of you
have any hidden talents? (that you can share in public)
Dallas: I can give you
a synopsis of the plot of every episode of Saved By the Bell.
Carson: She can, and
will, whether you want her to or not.
Dallas: I'M SO
EXCITED....I'M SO EXCITED....I'M SO....SCARED....
Carson: I don't think
I have any hidden talents, actually.
Dallas: At least not
ones that are appropriate to share with the interwebs.
Q: Do either of you
have tattoos? If so, what of and where at? If not, are there any you'd want to
get?
Dallas: I went with
Stella when she got hers, does that count?
Carson: I don't have
one, but I'm not opposed to the idea.
Dallas: I'm not
opposed to the idea of a tattoo, but I AM opposed to the idea of needles coming
in contact with my skin for prolonged amounts of time. No thank you.
Q: If you guys could
tell readers anything about your story, or yourself - what would it be? Why
should they read about you?
Dallas: I'm sure
Carson's fangirls could give you lots of reasons.
Carson: As head
fangirl, why don't you?
Dallas: No pressure.
Well, I'd just say that I'm pretty stubborn. And I couldn't resist this guy, so
I bet you won't be able to either. He's sweet and good and incredibly
gorgeous--
Carson: We almost done
here? I'm feeling to need to go somewhere private and be very sweet and good to
my girl.
Dallas: He also has no
shame, and loves to make me blush. So... I guess that's another reason to
read.
Q: We'll wrap it up
with something fun:
Look at each other and
say the first word that comes to mind - then tell us why that word came to
mind.
Dallas: Perfect.
Carson: Mine.
Dallas: I'm working
really hard not to roll my eyes.
Carson: *tugs her
closer* Those words are pretty self-explanatory, right? So I can go makes her
eyes roll back for a different reason?
Dallas: Like I said...
No shame.
Thanks for dropping in
today, we really appreciate it - can't wait for people to fall face first into
your awesomeness.
Carson: *drags Dallas
away*
Dallas: Thanks for having--
*door closes*
Like I said. Shenanigans. Worth it. Hilarious. Buy All Lined Up to read more and have even MORE fun. (if that's possible)
Synopsis:
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cora Carmack follows up her trio of hits—Losing It, Faking It, and Finding It—with this thrilling first novel in an explosive series bursting with the Texas flavor, edge, and steamy romance of Friday Night Lights.
In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.
Dallas Cole loathes football. That's what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her past.
But life doesn't always go as planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again.
Carson McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It's obliterated.
Dallas doesn't know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn't know that Dallas is his new coach's daughter.
And neither of them know how to walk away from the attraction they feel.
